Thanks for all the input. I think I am going to go with the borla full system. I hear it is just like the factory Motorsport system. Anyone have any real opposition to this system. Too loud or anything bad to say?

Thanks for the input

Which one?

The Borla long tube headers with Borla muffer is a good compromise on loudness.

IMO the Borla rear exit headers are TOO LOUD for most owners, but those that like them, love the SOUND!

If you are too old, your hearing is such that it is never too loud. :rofl

I love my Stillen exhaust system.....worth a few HP I guess, as my otherwise stock GT has pulled 577 and 585 RWHP on two dynos.

"If it's too loud, you're too old."

Everyone I know who told me that very thing several years ago are all wearing hearing aids today.

I wonder why?

I think you will be happy with that set up. I agree with Black ice, a nice overall package.

BTW The Borla muffler also looks very nice polished ( 3 sides and the ends ). Seams to be holding up well without any patina yet.

Try being too old and playing drums for 35 years. My aftermarket exhausts may as well be OE Honda Accord pipes.

You might check all the welds on the Borla muffler before installation - there have been a few problems.

Do a search.

Inquiring minds want to know who you play drums for?

Ralphie, Thanks for the heads up! I can't really see them before they are shipped. I will research some more before I make my decision. My real reason to start looking for an exhaust was to eliminate as much heat in the engine bay as possible. Factory muffler just cooks the engine bay.

Thanks again

Mike

...Factory muffler just cooks the engine bay....

One of the main reasons to change - the loud rear exit headers heat up the engine compartment the least, as the x-pipes tend to block the air exit area. Other reason - weight reduction.

No warpage of the lourvres with the rear exit system.
