Nice video Lance.

I had missed when they were lowering it.

Okay, now it should work - click me. I blew it... I had it set on "Private" by accident :lol

Cheers,

Lance

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...we'll forgive ya just this once!:biggrin

Has that extra 3/4" lower caused the car to scrape anywhere it DIDN'T scrape before on your normal travel routes?

Lance - good vid, and nice changes to your GT.

I had a good time at your show. And that special trip to your fathers garage.

See you in Texas.

+1. What's the new coefficient of scraping? I lowered my Porsche to GT3 height and it scrapes quite often. But the splitter is durable and I don't mind fixing/replacing it. I just couldn't stand that with the GT.
And what new coilovers did you have installed? What are your impressions?
Thx,
P.S. Very nice video

The FGT splitter is pretty durable as well and inexpensive. I would just buy a spare and not worry too much about minor scrapes as long as nothing else gets scratched.

It scrapes ever so slightly entering my driveway. I haven't had any other issues while driving it thus far. I do like the look much better... after it's been lowered a bit.

I didn't purchase new coilovers, The GT Guy lowered the vehicle with my stock suspension. It looks great & as I stated above - it only scrapes going into my driveway. It barely scrapes - but the look is worth it! :cheers

I feel your pain. 'Had to do a major regrade on my driveway so my STOCK HEIGHT GT could come & go w/o issues.

Additionally, many of the roads/intersections around here are only friendly to 4X4's. SO many that I never even gave so much as a single serious thought to lowering #1079 - despite the fact I like the slightly lowered look a lot. :willy

Oh, I didn't know the car could be lowered with the stock suspension components. Interesting and tempting. And I do have a spare splitter tucked away just in case.
Though the cost is too extreme right now, I've never met a car or bike that couldn't be substantially improved by a suspension makeover and will do an upgrade on the FGT sooner or later. Ohlins on my (ex-) R1100's, Bilstein's on my 997. I'm more of a handling than speed guy and it has always been the single biggest and most satisfying improvement in the driving experience.
I guess I'll stay in the research phase for the time being.

Now, be honest, we all know that if you lowered your FGT the only change is how it loaded into the trailer. :lol

Actually, it was an issue only twice. Once when it was brought home after acquistion and second when it was sold.

Even then it wasn't a problem, EP had the trailer unload and load, after crossing the driveway. :rofl
