I couldn't make it past the photo of the little 4-year-old (#11) myself...

Thanks for reminding us how fortunate we are. It's amazing how many people on this planet live in abject poverty and lead a true subsistence existence. My son has been to Laos and has commented that the rural Laotians can't even comprehend the lifestyle we enjoy.

In NYC Chinatown they have these stacked pods where workers work 24/7.

Reminds me of early 90s Korean delis in NYC (now they are none; save chains of highend drycleaners, nail salons, etc that gross double/triple)

Saw a kid doing his math homework immaculately on an upside-down bucket in one of these Korean delis; he was so happy.

He is probably making six figures today.

It is stories of those like the Hughes men or the Hoyt men (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roZrT_tciKA&feature=youtube_gdata_player) that renew my faith in humanity and America and remind me to be thankful for everything that is so easily taken for granted.
