Being new I have lots of questions but hope one day to provide answers to new guys like me. I use regular clip battery tenders on my other cars but see the one from Ford plugs into the power outlet. Are these a good way to go? The charger looks very cheap and never used this kind. Any info appreciated.
Thanks

Lots of information on this subject on past posts. Some say they have not had any issues with the OEM charger, and you can guess what others have said. If your car has the gel cell battery (Optima) and if you purchase an aftermarket charger, just be sure it is compatible with the battery in your car. I recently purchased the following charger from Griot's and as usual, I'm pleased with the product. It comes with several different attachment connections, so you can pick and choose as to how you connect it to your battery. DanielJ. PS: I think you can get 15% off through the end of this month.

The OEM charger works fine however because it does not have any activity indicator lights it is an unkknown as to whether it is truly working as such I use BatteryTenders; they are inexpensive and have a go-no go light on them.

As for the use of direct clips on the battery or of the inside plug; mechanically it does the exact same thing so it is a matter of which method you prefer; in addition many have added a remote plug at the nose of thier gal to make the process even easier.

Regardless; keep the battery charged.

Takes care

Battery Tinder---The only way to go for me on all my Cars for a long time. Have never used the charger that came with the Ford GT. and don't plan to.
