Just returned from the auction. Had the pleasure of visiting with Daniel and later on spent some discussion time at the Hennesy display - very nice black GT on display.

Car prices - rare/desirables generaly held Scottsdale prices. Unsuccessfully, I chased a 67 Shelby GT500 that finished north of 170.

A few other cars had good bidder support but everything else did not fair as well.

There were some real steals in the hot rod category. Made me wish I had done my homework as I am certain I missed a steal on a 58 vette that went for 104.

Scenery as always was excellent! :biggrin

Shelby - hows does rojo look?

Great meeting you. I posted the auction prices on the csx car thread started on 'other cars'. Hope to see you at the SEMA dinner.

seemed like the S7 TT and XJ220 went for pretty good prices...saw it on speed.

I watched both sell. The auction boys thought the S7 was right on but the XJ went for a discount. It belonged to Craig Jackson, I think.

I spent some time talking to the S7 driver. He said after 180mph, additional speed was there but took forever to reach it - unlike a GT. The car was beautiful.

I got 57K for a Cortez Silver 1969 Z28 with protecto plate (I needed space) . The price is about right for these times although I had some buddies that did not do as good.

Overall the market was down , at least that was the general impression from the sellers that were there.
