This morning in Arizona.

Gentlemen,

There are nine days to go before our gala event here in Arizona. Every morning I wake up at 6 a.m. so I can threaten my son Charley with bodily harm if he doesn't get his butt out of bed and head to school, fire up the coffee maker, and then let my Labrador "Jet" out into the backyard to water the foliage. This time of the year I often catch a beautiful sunrise over the southern tips of the McDowell Mountains just east of my home. This morning's was particularly noteworthy so I snapped a couple photos. Arizona is a beautiful place and it's even more beautiful when it's filled with rare and expensive collector cars. We're going to have a great time a week from Thursday at Don and Charlie's. There's still plenty of time to snag a hotel room and join us. We'll see you here.

Gentlemen,

Okay, okay.......It appears that my official home photographer/concubine is calling me on a carpet here as she was the one who pressed the shutter button on the digital Canon SLR that I provided her with. I should probably also point out to those members who have enjoyed the many Ford GT Forum functions we have put on at our home, that Veronica did 99% of the work as regards those as well. I was given all the credit of course, and I gladly accepted it. :biggrin This goes to prove that the old adage is true. That behind every successful man, is a stunned and surprised wife!

I should have kept her barefoot and never taught her how to use a computer. :ack

How close is it from BJ to Don and Charlie's restaurant in Scottsdale? I probbaly will take a taxi, but I was thinking if the Taxi rides add up I may be better off renting something.

Gentlemen,

Those members who have attended one of my functions before already know the drill but for the first-timers, the charge for tomorrow night's event will be handled as follows:

Every attendee must pay in cash. Checks or credit cards will not be accepted and nobody will be provided with a separate bill. Everyone is expected to show up with a pocket full of $20 bills. Tap the ATM before your arrival and if you forget there is a bank right across the street from Don and Charlie's. Everyone's dinner and cocktails will be added together with an 18% tip and the bill will be presented to me. Every attendee will pay the same amount. It's going to be a great time! I will be hosting 2 special toasts tomorrow night. :cheers We'll see you there.
