I saw on another forum that Technocraft is going to be doing some goodies for your GT. As they have an EXTENSIVE selection of very cool Carbon Fiber for the Gallardo's, can you enlighten us on what they're doing for your car, and when you anticipate they'll be available for public consumption?

Thanks, and keep us updated with your progress.

OK - let's get some facts out so that rumors don't spread and cause any problems.

First, the company name is "Tecnocraft" (No "h") and you can see some of the amazing work they've done for the Gallardo and other cars at: www.tecnocraft.com. The guys from Tecnocraft and I met "on set" when filming "Battle of the Supercars". And there's one part, in particular, that I thought they've done a damn good job of redesigning and manufacturing in CF that many on this forum have talked about - but no one has completed yet. That part was my request to the guys from Tecnocraft and they agreed, so I've not seen my black beauty for almost 2 months now.

After they had my GT in their shop for a week or so, they started talking about additional parts - other than my initial request. And they started on some of the easier ones. Here is the thread that broke yesterday on another forum with some "really nice spy shots": http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42493
As you can see, there are some parts missing. By the time most read this thread the GT will probably have another photo shoot complete with the parts back in place - a la carbon fiber.

My GT will be showing up at Monterey Car Week. But do not look for a Black, No Stripe GT. It's getting a full wrap by Iconography Studios. When it shows up in Monterey, the following carbon fiber parts will also be on the GT:
1. Front Splitter (Slightly modified design)
2. Side Scoops
3. Rear Window Surround

The intent is to have more CF on the car for Rally V. Tecnocraft plans to complete the "aero kit". And there is discussion re: more parts.

I am still 'arm wrestling' them for the original part I wanted. But it's not that easy and requires an awful lot of engineering, testing and prototyping. We may decide to bring in some other, respectable engineering to help. And there's two other "smaller" parts I've also requested that I think would go over well with the GT ownership group. Especially those that trailer theirs from time to time. I'm not sure I'll have, or ever get, either request...but I'm pushing.

Lastly, I'll be glad to answer questions about what's going on with my GT, but I am in no, way, shape or form a salesman, marketing or representative for Tecnocraft. I can make introductions to the owner, as well as their marketing contact if you wish. I do not have price lists and I will not comment on anything that is not firmly agreed to by Tecnocraft.

Hope that sets the record straight a bit.

Let the fun begin

The fun certainly has begun. With exception to "driving fun". I'm having SERIOUS GT withdrawals not having my GT to drive or seeing it in the garage even! Which will make seeing it and driving it from LA to Monterey in a week or so that much better!

Funny, I saw it in St. Louis on the road to Chicago this morning. Better make sure you know where your baby is hanging out.

I just this past week drove 150 miles of Hwy 1 but unfortunately I wasnt in the GT. The entire way I was wishing I was in the GT or on one of my bikes. I bet your drive to Monterey will be awsome !! We drove from Cambria to Mendocino and wow what an incredible drive.
