Austin Rally, I-10, Ft Stockton, snow

For those of you that drove in from the west, this is just off I-10 between Stockton and Ozona 2 days ago. Very rare snow for us. I am ready for summer.

Al Gore is not a politician any more. I hate to see west Texas suffering from global warming like that. Hopefully it will thaw out soon as I will be passing through that area this Friday!!

Donny, that's pretty amazing to see, especially after just passing through for the Rally! I was at Webb AFB in Big Spring in the winter of 72-73 and we got quite a bit of snow then too. We didn't fly for two weeks it was so bad (no de-ice on the T-38, freezing level right on the deck, and solid cloud cover 24/7). It was dicy just driving around town. After a few days our squadron commander just told us to just stay home. He figured somebody'd kill themselves driving to the base, just to sit around all day waiting for the weather to break. Tire chains were sold out, and any that showed up at a store were snapped up immediately. I remember having to very carefully plan driving around Big Spring without chains to avoid any roads with much slope, just to get groceries!

(Now that non-politician Al Gore cancelled his speech in Copenhagen, he's available to come and de-ice your roads with his hot air. :lol )

Something inconvenient for Algore

Here's something I saw recently on the Documentary Channel (of all places). called "The Great Global Warming Swindle". It's over an hour long, but it's well worth watching. Its from the UK, three years ago, and it scientifically refutes Algore's pathetic claims.
