Thinking of replacing sanyo with mac. Does anyone know if Ford used same wiring harness for both units? In non mac cars is the harness in place for the sub and amp and simply isn"t being used?

I know this does not answer your question, but if you are going to replace the stock unit, why not just go aftermarket. You will end up with a much better sound system that way, and you can always turn it back to stock.

If you want to go with the Mac, you'll have to buy the amplifier and the subwoofer with the housing unit. Quite costly. You're better off getting an aftermarket unit both costwise and installation wise. If you do a search, there are quite a few posts about the JVC unit that does everything but throw rocks. Also look for subwoofer relocation threads to put the sub behind the passenger seat and the amp behind the driver (Shadowman kit, unavailable now but will give you ideas). The holes for the tweeters are in the door and so is the wiring, just no crossovers.

There are "TWO" 12v constant inputs and "ONE" non constant 12v input. One constant 12v input comes from the Smart Junction Box-F2.16 (3a) under the passenger compartment footbox plate. The other 12v input is from the Battery Junction Box-F1.12 (30a) in the front luggage compartment, Drivers side. The "ONE" non constant 12v input is from the BJB-F1.1 (40a) & SJB-F2.12 (5a).
