Having racked up 50,000 miles on a '12 C6 Corvette as a daily driver, I would recommend folks visit their local GM dealer and spend half-day there to see if you like it.
The economics of a Vette are such that every dollar goes into the engine/transaxle and literally pennies go into rest (ie, plastic door locks)
I have a GMPP Factory 7yr/100K warranty that has seen heavy use; even my glove box had a warranty claim. All well-known documented issues with 10+ pages on CorvetteForum. Car was serviced by the book by one of best Master-Techs at largest So_Cal Corvette dealers.
Will be dropping it off shortly at CarMax and getting more than similar vintage BMW 3-Series, Boxster, Benz, etc
Cant imagine anything changed in 6 years; (C7 has same issues, and worse eg, e-diff).
If ur driving it from Cul-de-Sac to Office Park and Sunday drives less than 10K lifetime miles, dont worry.
