I know them very well and know the owner. I have dealt with them in the past and have had no problems. Most dealers wont recommend another dealer, but I am not like that. If they have the car you want at the right price I would believe you would be OK.
If you want, give me a call on Monday and we can call the owner on three-way. May be easier than dealing with a salesman.....

I purchased a Viper from them in 2000. That was nine years ago, but they were great to deal with. Car was exactly as represented, and Randy Matteson is still there, but primarily just buys cars for them now. I spoke with him when I was looking for a Ford GT, but he did not have what I was looking for, so Shelby got my money instead. I would not hesitate to deal with them again.

AZ, they're in Springfield, MO. About 4 hours southwest on I-44 from St. Louis. Probably easiest to fly into Tulsa and drive from there. DBTGT may have had some contact with them.

I sold them a Ferrari. We agreed on a price on the phone, they sent me a cashier's check with the transport gentleman that picked it up. Transport gentleman barely looked at it, did not drive it and just loaded it up. More trusting folks than I am. Car was absolutely as represented, but if I was unscrupulous, it could have been painted on or had mechanical issues. I ALWAYS personally look before paying. No private inspectors.....my own eyes before money changes hands. Maybe I'm just old school. Anywhere in the US is only a plane ride away.

When you buy from someone like me you get the "no questions asked" return policy. If for any reason upon delivery the buyer finds ANYTHING they dont like, I will simply take the car back and refund ALL monies paid. NO BS.
This way, you dont have to take time out of your busy scheduale, etc, to drive or fly hundreds of miles to look at a car when you can inspect it at the convienece of your home.

My wife will be in the market soon to replace her SL. Thinking about a late model Aston (since I repurchased the Aston hotel brand last year and renamed my company Aston Hotels & Resorts :biggrin) or Maserati. I've decided when I'm ready to pull the trigger, I'll give Shelby a call.

Wow. That is an amazing level of assurance and protection. Next time sir (in some time, a Porsche GT3), I'm all yours.

That is what I call a dealer who stands behind his reputation. Hats off to you Shelby.

Shelby E. and all - thanks for all of your input and the few PM's I received.

As Shelby knows, I'm considering a few options at the moment (one of which is to add a "F car" to my stable).

I'm not a 100% positive of making any move/acquisition. But "the boss" (wife) has approved for me to do whatever makes me happy! =)

Same with me. I sold them an E-55 in '99. The bot sight unseen, sent a trailer to the house; nicest guy. Very polite, appreciated my driving directions. Loaded the Benz behind a couple of F cars, handed me my check and was on his way.
