I'm looking through the internet for information on original gt-40's .... basically looking for the owners of a specific chassis number and find this company.

http://www.race-car-replicas.com

Yea, I've been familiar with Fran @ RCR for a few years now... have not done any business with him personally, but those who have seem to be well satisfied. He is also easily accessible on the 'net and in person.

In the GT40 replicar industry, bad news travels fast... and I've only positive comments about Fran.

Fran is rock steady,... everything from very rough kits to turn key minus. Works quickly, quality kits.:thumbsup

Here's the forum on his Mk IV replica (!) over at gt40s.com -

http://www.gt40s.com/forum/rcr-forum-rcr40-rcr70-p4-mkiv/21854-mkiv.html

He's also making a Lola, a 917 (for you Gulf fans!), an Atom-like 'SuperLight' exoskeleton car, and a 'SuperLight' coupe (like a cross between a Radical and a Zonda!). What fun he's having, eh?

I've been lurking over on that forum as well, and I've noticed he responds to comments, questions, and stuff basically instantly. He's probably watching me type this right now.

People seem to love his cars. I'm following a couple of build threads over at gt40s.com.

Yes he is.......:wink

Thanks for the positive comments ...the guys and I at RCR work hard to try and break the "kit car" stigma associated with handbuilt sports cars....any questions please ask away...

Welcome Fran, many of us also reside there on the GT40Forum (Gordo, Neilda etc...). You appear to be truly involved and respected on that Forum. Need to sync up with the Admin llarsen as he is 30 min from me

You might ask Steve or his son Kyle over at Stillen if they can help you out.

Does anyone have any information of how these RCR GT40's compare to the those from SuperPerformance? Those look quite impressive.

Our cars are a different animal....the SPF is great , especially if you dont want to build and want a turnkey type car.

Our packages allow alot more flexibilty and give you the freedom to build in many unusual options should you chose ......we can supply kit to complete car and anything in between,

Also check with either the GTGuys or Stage 6, both on this forum.

Stage 6 in Fla. has a replacement and the GT Guys regularly will and can change a clutch in ~2 hrs. Saw one in Ca at SteveA's place.... I was really surprised how small it was considering the amount of HP is deals with.
