Similar to my reaction to Vipers (but more so) ever since I bought my first GT, I have lusted for a second. I look around and see some very nice cars I could buy for the same price.

For you guys who bought a second (or more) GT, did any of you later regret it? In hindsight, did you wish you had gotten a Lambo or something different? Did any of you go back to one? (for reasons other than financial) Curious.

Got my second one 3 months after the first. Almost bought a 3rd one one year later... Never a regret, NOT ONE!!! If you have the means, buy a low mileage clean not story Heritage and wrap her up. She will pay you dividends....

HHGT Quote" Never a regret, NOT ONE!!! If you have the means, buy a low mileage clean not story Heritage and wrap her up. She will pay you dividends." I say....or drive it too!

I have 4....kinda sorta looking for #5....preferably black no-stripe, unmodified at a good price. If it happens, it happens....If not, no biggie. I would prolly only have one IF they lost value. I absolutely HATE depreciation. Therefore I am limited as to what cars to own as keepers. Making money is nice on a keeper, but as long as I don't lose I'm happy. Being a car dealer (not highline), I have owned somewhere around 7000 cars & trucks. Lost money on less than 1%. That includes drivers, collector & highline personal cars.

Admittedly a bit of a softball, but am interested in folks' views. Unfortunately, despite much thought on the topic, I am unqualified to render an opinion on your comparison. (damn it)

My experience is about the same. I added a 2nd new GT 6 months after the first.. I too have thought about a 3rd car.. Trying to control the urge.. :eek Still one of the best cars to own and enjoy... especially if you're a hands on guy !! Not many things out there that will touch this thing performance wise... and the looks,, well she'll always be a timeless beauty..:thumbsup

Waited 2 years to buy my second one. I went through the same process you are, what can I buy for the same price that I would enjoy as much? I couldn't think of anything I would rather have so I decided what color I wanted and went for it. Then I put a Whipple on one and twin turbos on the other and never had any regrets. It's probably actually saved me a lot of money because I still haven't found another sports car that I would buy. Once you have the best in the world nothing else can compete.:biggrin

Fwiw I bought a Gallardo about 2 years ago and just sold it. I just didn't like the g that much.

Just buy another gt and do something different to it than the other. Oh and post to this thread once you have the second one saying "You guys were right". :)

OK I'll be the oddball, I REGRET IT! I regret not buying the second one sooner:lol thnking about a third right now, I Just might if the right car comes along, five years after production for the money you still cant find a car that looks as good, performs as well, is as reliable or easily modified and holds its value. I wouldnt care if they didnt hold their value I still think its an amazing car. Im also glad they stopped production on the gt, imagine what it would have done for the vipers if they had made only 4000 and stopped production in 2000 after the gts models.:eek

Two please.

I imagine they are holding about the same as they are for single GT owners. :biggrin

I seriously regret not having the $$$ to buy a second GT already. I'm not even considering another type of exotic car, I want a second GT. And unless my skills at the track improve during my upcoming driving school, I may need a spare! :ack

I don't think you'll find too many that regret it. If you care at all about depreciation, pretty much every single alternative has taken a beating in the last few years (and that's being kind). And as mentioned, there still really isn't much as fun as a GT. Every time I spend any considerable amount of time driving any other high end car, when I finally get back in the GT, my mind says "This is home." It's a really, really good street car and it just feels special. And all the colors have their own unique attraction. I've bought a couple for project car purposes and wished I could have kept them.
