One thing to be VERY careful of with these wraps is who does the work.
In 2005 I built a custom show truck that was to be debuted at SEMA. I had all of my sponsors logos done by a wrapper because the quality is better than decals and it looks better in my opinion. The truck had just come out of a 6 week paint process three days prior to this guy doing the work. I was debuting a new "brushed aluminum" paint from Alsa paint Corp. Unfortunately the wrapper put four razor blade cuts in my paint. Each one was about one to two inches in length. I immediately confronted him as he was doing work on some of our other vehicle's and he swore up and down that it was impossible because they don't even use razor blades......There was a razor blade right next to him...
The name of this company is Ape Wraps and they are based out of Southern California I believe. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!
If you do decide to go with something like our orange car you will want to use House of Kolors Tangelo Orange as a sample. That is the paint that we used so your wrapper can have an idea of what we did.
Thank you very much for the info about the colour!
I am pretty set with the idea of going orange.
The pictures of the orange car on the front page are actually of the Avro Mirage 720 (marketing idea in 2007 to sell the last 10 FGTs) and the color is a Ford Europe color which is called Electric Orange.
I have seen the car in person and it was stunning.
The only problem is that the color is a metallic 3 coat color and it would be difficult to replicate.
I have not been able to see a high res picture of your car (just the ones on your website) but it looks like the hue is slightly different.
I love your car as well and now with the color info I can get 2 different samples and see which one turns out better on the vinyl.
On a last note I could not agree with you more about choosing the wrapper carefully!
