DBK's place is literally the center of the car universe at the moment.

That color looks great. That is what we picked w/o stripes.

Liquid Blue shifts so much. Seriously could be mistaken for Mystichrome in these cell phone pics.

It almost has a 'Guardsman Blue' tone in these pics. Bet it will practically shout HELLO in the sunshine.

It definitely does at times. Blues, golds, yellows, all come out in the lighting.

looks to me in that photo that the Comp GT has the same mirrors as the other GT's exposed CF on the bottom of the mirrors and paint on top.

So...um...can I just bring a sleeping bag and live there for a few days? Think of it as extra security. :rofl

Great idea... we can take shifts and give them free security... all we want to do is sit in the cars and drive them around inside the building. How can you pass this up?

Paint looks really nice! Are you doing any paint correction prior to PPF install?

Thanks

The blue one is having the PPF installed now but didn't have anything to the paint done prior. We did paint meter it and I think the roof was something crazy like 286 microns. The clear is exceptionally hard. I'd imagine the Liquid Colors will probably have more material on them, but the black car has a lot of material on it too.

Are you going to be offering this service? Could ppl send cars to your shop for delivery prep/mods and PPF install? Your tech has and will have the most experience with the install. That would be my preference if the stars align in 2018

If anyone would like their GT to come here for any length of time for any reason, I'm happy to have it!

We could certainly do that. Our detailer did spend about 60 hours total on the black Heritage. Partially that was because he said the paint is so hard. He joked that it had 4 times as much paint as a Ferrari. Great for the owners, time consuming for detailers.

The blue car is the 5th GT the clear bra installer has done.

Would this be before or after formal delivery, or would it be considered formal delivery? Currently planning to use Stirling McCall for my delivery but it would be cool to get all the detailing, wrap, and vent guard work done before I get my hands on it - if not I'll be tempted to say screw it, and head straight for the track!

Geez Dave....it's like GT Skittles in your garage. Also curious about Mongrels formal or not delivery to your place.

These cars are being formally delivered here. The delivering dealer gets paid for his time and effort no matter where the car goes (your house, his place, this place, a racetrack, wherever). So if you want to have it delivered here and come see it offloaded, then have it all prepared before it gets to you, that's fine by me. The owner of the blue car brought his family for delivery, the Concierge and product specialist schooled him on the ins and outs (Lynsey from the videos you've seen and Bernardo, who has a racing background. I think he raced with Joey Hand at one point), owner came back the next day to watch some of the clear bra application and ogle it, then headed off for a vacation. So it will be all ready to go when he comes back.

Either way, Reliable is the carrier that is moving the cars to the end user, and I assume Tom has a number of trucks and drivers specifically dedicated to GT deliveries, so the additional offload would be 1 trip. I do know for a fact however that Ford is trying to batch cars geographically, so coming here could either be a monkey wrench or a benefit. There is a truck delivering 3 Florida GTs in the next week or two...

If Ford wants to start offering it as a pre-delivery service, they can all come here and it will be easier for everyone. :biggrin

Can you give the city of the Florida delivery's and the colors? Might be able to make a trip to see the colors in person.
