I admire you for driving that car like there is no tomorrow. To be so familiar and comfortable with it to do a TT indicates you get serious seat time with that machine. I love that Heritage. Drive safely my friend.

It was a sad morning as we bid AlohaGT's car farewell as it loaded on the trailer bound for VIR. We are really proud of this car and hope many of you stop by to take a look at it when it is at the Rally. If you're contemplating a mod for your GT and want to see what it looks like, there's a good chance that this car has it!

Bruce, you must at least ride in one if not drive it. I will bet money that such a ride/drive will send you down the slippery slope. Two of the TT conversion cars we recently completed have been from Whipples - one 4.0 and the other a Gen 2. Kelvin came back to our house after spending a day with the car with a grin ear to ear. He admitted that the banter here on the forum about the *presumed* TT drawbacks might be real - and maybe he would prefer the SC. No way, no how. Admittedly, it is hard for a new TT owner to be objective. As he gushed about the new driving characteristics of the car, I asked him how much of his positive impression was from that part of a guy's brain that tries to rationalize the money just invested into the mod. "No way, no how." I am now a "wannabe" TT owner. I have had the luxury to drive virtually every variation of mod'd HP GT. Strangely enough, I can tell you that I have never driven a TT GT over 11psi of boost..... Seriously. I LOVE the atrributes of the TT-GT in it's free-er running, rev-happier, HUGELY NOTICEABLE lack of engine braking, around town nature. Yes, the TT GT is MORE driver-friendly when in its Clarke Kent disguise. Obviously it is a BEAST when provoked. Anyway, I am saving my pennies. One day.....

I bent my finger backwards and tore up the stuff inside when I was loading my GT into the trailer for the Trek to Rally III in Las Vegas. 6 months of physical therapy to try to get it straightened (it wants to heal bent over 90 degrees) and then they gave up and I had surgery. They straightened it surgically. This was a year ago. Back to physical therapy after the surgery and 6 months later, it was bent over 90 degrees again - the way that it likes to heal. Two weeks ago, different doctor, different hospital (no more UCLA!!!!) and another operation. This time I got a pin in it. The plan is that the pin stays in for 6-8 weeks so that it CAN'T BEND. After which.... in a "little procedure" in the doctor's office involving a bullet, a shot of whisky and some needle nose pliars, they're gonna pull the pin out. I sweat bullets thinking about that one!!! Kitty Russell and Festus are gonna be there holding my other hand while Matt Dillon smiles at me! (That's the image in my head.) LOL

Of what Kendall speaks is true. I was prepared for low end disappointment, turbo lag, and other parade of horribles; however, those were simply non-factors for me. No question, the gal's attitude has changed...but for the better. When you get her on the pipe and she clears her throat, hang on for one incredible speed rush accompanied by some captivating music not heard before from those Heffner pipes.

Congrats Aloha not just for the TT but for your beatiful GT. I had the pleasure of seeing it on the jack when visiting Kendall last week. Wow wow wow. I think you have my all time favorite GT. I love the interior and every little thing you have done to it. I didnt have the pleasure of hearing it as it was being worked on but man what a beauty. Enjoy it champ.
