FLM total sales reached 155,954, up 20% vs. April and the HIGHEST SALES for any month since July 2008.
· FLM gained share retail share for the SEVENTH time in the last 8 months – and again sailed past the 13% mark.
· For the second consecutive month, FLM outsold Toyota in total sales – a "repeat feat" not seen since March 2007.
· Fusion total sales were up 9% and set an ANY MONTH record (retail sales were down 2%, but still impressive compared to a 33% industry decline).
· Flex set an any-month sales record – TWO months in a row.
· GOING GREEN – Total Hybrid sales achieved a record month, eclipsing the previous record set in April 2006.
· F-150 retail sales were EQUAL to a year ago – remember that 33% industry drop!
· F-Series widened its lead against Silverado yet again, 18,534 units CTYD.
The real boost is probably two more months out as Dodge and GM inventories are picked over. And many people are considering a Domestic again.
