I apologize for the Brand X plate in the background... but only a little. I want to thank Shadowman who graciously said he did not mind if I went with a custom finish similar to his, although I changed things up a little. And I want to thank Jack at Muscle Motors for his help so far. I am sure I will have questions for both Shadowman and Jack.

Looks awesome black. I'm not crazy about the polished look. The black looks way more mean and ready to put the hurt on.

Everette, got tired of the KB snout and pulley already - it's only been three months!

Hey!! I resemble that remark!!!

But seriously, I'm glad some of you guys are going custom with your Whipples. It makes us even more unique. I look forward to the first red or blue one.

Good question! And first, thank you all for the compliments, and thanks again to Bill (Shadowman) for his help and his unique idea for the SC finish, and to Jack at Muscle Motors for his help and input. Regarding the KB setup - I enjoyed it and think it is well engineered, especially regarding the power steering pump spacers, which allow one to go to a very small pulley (2.5") with the stock belt and still have no slippage.

During the past month I was actually considering selling my car :confused . I know - why? I am not sure, but I often do that with cars. Anyway, I decided that maybe I would keep it and take it to the next level, so I considered the Twin Turbo setup and the Whipple. And thanks to those of you whom I polled for input on the TT. In the end it was mostly funds that drove the decision, although that TT setup is killer!

Anyway, thanks again for all your inputs - I will occasionally update here with my progress. I am going slowly and carefully, and we will see how far I get this weekend. For now the belly pans are off, the car is up on the ramps, the KB power steering pump spacers are removed, and the SC belt is off (this is a bigger job than it sounds - because it is the innermost belt you have to remove the cover to the dry sump belt and that belt, and the alternator belt - all in quite tight conditions). Most of the items connected to the stock SC are removed, and I hope to have the Whipple sitting in place late today or early tomorrow. More to come...

One thing, can you photoshop and increase the size of the picture on the left behind the huffer, just a little bit larger so I can see her birth mark on her left thigh?:lol
