That's amazing! Beautiful looking aircraft too....
I suspect the health & safety numpties in the UK would prevent anyone doing that in a public space.
I assume there are huge skills involved, but those here who can fly (I can't) might say that instruments and pre-flight calculations make it simple..?
I would love to have seen that in person - a beautiful jet at almost head height between the boats. Huge thrill.
'Good point on the public safety angle. In light of crashes that have happened in various air show venues recently (including one's involving the Blue Angels themselves), there are many locales that have changed the "air space"/ "spectator space" layouts. Here in my area, Seattle actually has changed the Blue Angel's flight paths over the Lake Washington area where the shows take place and closes the floating bridges over the lake to traffic during the shows ( but, they've closed those bridges during 'shows for years now anyway).
But, no matter what's done, odds are a crash at any venue other than in an actual desert somewhere, there's going to be damage to SOMETHING and/or someone as a result. That's just a calculated risk anytime a 'show is going on.
