So Cal
I keep saying it and sounding like a broken record, there's no logical reason for Ford to call this rumored car Ford GT. :frown (been there and done that, please leave well enough alone :rofl)

Does anyone know if the new GT will be made in Right Hand Drive ?
I have been told it will be a " World Car " but does that include RHD

Ok I've tried to put together a page in a pretty painless format where you can now blow some time reading all the Ford GT stories from major media sources. I'll continually add stuff over the next couple years as they move into the production process. Hopefully these sites leave the stories up for eternity and years down the road you can look back and read some of the stuff. If there's anything worth reading or not super redundant missing, let me know.

Great history of the rumors-to-fact status! I like it that they are all in one place.

Thanks for the directory, Dave!

I'm sure my wife is wondering why I'm taking the iPad into the bathroom with me .. GT porn!

Now ... can you get Ford to give current GT owners first dibs? :biggrin

from Popular Mechanics online--No Signs of Forced Entry, But Ford Clearly Stole the Show
Just two hours into the show, with only a handful of cars debuted, Ford ushered a horde of journalists and industry insiders into Joe Louis Arena—home of the Red Wings and adjacent to Cobo Center—dimmed the lights, and blew us all away.

Ford might as well have turned out the lights in the entirety of Cobo, because after introducing the wicked F-150 Raptor, sliding the flat-crank-V-8–powered GT350R across the stage, and after dropping jaws with the mid-engine GT hypercar, what was left to see? Even at a show positively packed with important and impressive debuts—including the new Acura NSX and the stunningly beautiful Buick Avenir concept—everything paled in comparison to the Blue Oval’s power trio. While the rest of the automakers file a police report for this theft, we’re already wondering what next year’s event will hold and whether anyone can top Ford’s utterly dominant Detroit showing. A mid-engine Corvette, perhaps?

"It bears repeating: After a year full of astonishing high-performance and supercar launches that included the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Chevy Camaro Z/28, Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Ford’s own Shelby Mustang GT350, we were floored."

"From an ascetics point of view,..." LMAO at that backwards Freudian slip.

"When you see the car in the flesh, when you’ve pondered it, it's very obvious that it isn't a Lamborghini, it’s not a Ferrari, and it's not a Porsche. It's very much a Ford and it's quite obvious that it's a Ford." Yes, it is. And thank you Ford.

"I think that's the beauty of the car—its sole purpose is to go fast." :thumbsup

One of the best articles yet.

Haha. I didn't even notice that. I'm so used to reading bad grammar now that I just substitute in the word that should be there. Great catch, too funny!! :lol

What? No GM highlights? Wait, before you say Cadillac...they are now a NYC company. Doing cool, but overpriced stuff. Earn your cred, then raise your prices to match the brands you're trying to compete with...that never lost their cred.

Great article. Thanks for posting it. It's amazing how familiar the overall shape is, yet it looks next century.
