I looked back at some older posts on alignments . Not sure if the tire brand makes a difference , but I am getting my second set of Bridgestones this week and was wondering if there is an optimal alignment spec for street use. Thanks
If the wheels and thus offset is unchanged, and the minimal extra width is equally distributed onto each side of the wheel, and no suspension changes, would Alignment need to change?
Hopefully Scott will see this and give us the answer.
I too am interested as I installed a set of Pilot's on mine with different sizing and offset, as well as a lowering to the tune of 1.25 front and .75 in the rear...
FWIW my car has been lowered via eibachs and has never been aligned. I've been through a set of bridgestones and they were worn perfectly evenly, and the current set is doing the same. I don't know if that is an indicator of ideal alignment or not, but I'm impressed nonetheless.
Wish I could say the same for my stock BMW.:rolleyes
