so you must have been fresh out of empty Costco pretzel containers to capture it live and show it off at your next party?

That pretzel jar is still the closest I've come to taking a rattlesnake bite. Chilling.

We recently had a cottonmouth move in to our lake. Granddaughter liked to call it the cotton head. Recent flooding may have moved it out.

My wife would sell the house if a snake got in (anywhere).

I had a rattlesnake burger not long ago. It was good. I hope you didn't throw it away Chip!

You’re kidding right? That damn thing kept moving for an hour after I’d mashed it’s head flat. In the morning it was 2 feet away from where it was when I went inside. Really creepy. Just picking it up with a rake to throw it out in the desert by my house gave me the willies. The last thing on earth I’d do is clean, cook, and eat it. And somewhere in that carcass is some nasty venom. No thank you.

The venom is all in the head. Cut off the head, gut it, skin it, and grill it.

It's just more "white meat." Kinda like alligator.

Tastes like chicken (doesn't it all?). Had some when I was a boy scout, just a "few" years ago. Good eatin'!
