Hi Guys, I'm a soon to be new owner.

My Black with silver should be here in the sunny UK in a few weeks.....can't wait.

Question is I want to order an Accufab exhaust and a Bumper delete kit.

Is it possible to get the Exhaust with shortened exit pipes?

And

Is the CDC bumper delete kit the only one available and or the best?

Thanks Chaps and looking forward to ownership.

There are 2 bumper delete kits - CDC and GT Guy (http://www.thegtguy.com/custommods.aspx). Which one is better is a matter of personal opinion.

Yes, ask John at Accufab for the shortened tips.

The GT GUYS have their own kit, it does not require that the rear panels be repainted, I personally prefer theirs.

When you get your car, register above, and I will change your status to owner. I am sure the good folks at Roush can take great care of you.

there are two know bumper delete kits
one from the GTGuys http://www.thegtguy.com/custommods.aspx

the other (CDC?) can be had via nota4re (Kendall) at Cooltechllc.com http://www.cooltechllc.com/ford/gt_rear_bumper_delete_kit.htm

For the exhaust - Heffner makes a shortened tip kit, Borla tips can be cut or ordered, Accufab can be ordered but stock requires the tips be cut by owner. Personally I like the Heffner pipes. I've had it on for over 10k miles and it still look great. I chose Heffners due to the finished look

If you look at this thread you can see the two different bumper delete kits, Heffner and other pipes. Pe2unia had an Accufab and traded for the Heffner when he went butless.

The Accufab will work with the GT GUYS kit, just cut the tips back. It will not work with the CDC kit with the finished lower panel. The exit angle/bend is all wrong. I sat down with John to have him do a RBD system that works with the CDC kit, but it is not in the cards right now. It is a complete re-work of every angle in the system to keep the X design correct and fuctional.

CDC Options - Confirmed. Heffner and Ford Racing Borla Muffler. If you like a finished tip look, this is the way to go. Both tips are nice, but I really like the Heffner for this application.

Both kits look good IMO. But are different styles. The GTGUYS is true to the 60's style and the CDC is similar to the new GT40 Prototype cars press pics. Nice to have choices.:thumbsup

My prefered choice is the GT GUYS rear end and so that would work with Accufab right....just need to cut the Tips. Surprised they don't make them shorter to start.

Just aquiring costs.

Thanks for your help guys.

Good choices!

My only question about the other kit is a concern about paint discoloring over time. George builds great stuff, but you need to find a painter that can do a match.

I would strongly suggest you contact David Jones at Roush. They know the car inside out and have installed a lot of Accufab X-pipes and bumper delete kits (they are putting together the orange Arvro 700, which is bumper delete and Accufab).

Roush is not far away from you (Brentwood, just over the bridge for you).

They are super cool and I have purchased and have shipped my own stuff for them to install.

Also Roush will be able to modify your GT so that it meets the SVA criteria and will also get your car's MoT and paperwork.

The car currently resides in the States with a very good dealer and whilst it's there thought I'd get them fitted and save some tax.:thumbsup

David will be my choice from here on though, no doubt about that....This is just the beginning.:cheers
