So, I saw a piece of art that was done for Ron Dennis at McLaren with the introduction of the McLaren 12C some time ago. A single silhouette strip done to evoke the shape of the car, fullly wrapped in Carbon Fiber. Beautiful.
I then contacted the broker to see if the artist would commission something for me. He does the silhouettes in 1 - 5 metal strips depending on the look he's after. The other pieces I had seen, beyond the aforementioned 12C, were a Porsche 917, a 250 Testarossa etc. and I really liked the look that he created. After a brief discussion, I sent them some pictures and they created a design which we discussed to get a look I was happy with.
The artist was then left to his wares to create the sculpture for me. After some time, I received the following piece which I'm REALLY happy with!!! Anyway, I thought I'd share some pics of it with you all.
