Neil - everything is good. Going to be a Grandpa early next year. Took the year off from racing the 510. I did win the season championship last year for the u2 group. Still have room for more trophies in the bookcase. We'll be back in 2011 with the Datsun but on a reduced level. Because:
I bought a Vintage 360 Sprinter, which is being restored over the winter. Will race with the West Coast Vintage Sprint Racers on 8 different tracks in Oregon and Washington. Most of which are at least 300 miles from home. 6 are paved from 3/8 to 1/2 mile and two are dirt 3/8 tracks. Although my car was originally a slant nose Roof Wing car, the vintage guys don't run with wings and I will be putting a more traditional "Indy Roadster" style front end on it. Motor is 358 c.i. and runs a fuel injection system from Australia. 1500# car with 450 h.p. on ethanol. Been told the rate of acceleration is pretty much like a Can-Am car. But that doesn't last long with only 1 gear. Plenty fast for a few hundred feet.
My friend Tom is letting me run his this year on practice days. So I will be "more ready" to play hard when I get my racecar on the track next year. 17 to 22 second laps are a lot harder to do "right" than I expected. But I'm up to the challaenge.
Leaving for Rally V in the morning. 3300 miles to the Right Coast.

Were looking at bringing the GT up to do the portland 12 hour next year and maybe some other events in califonia after our domestic season has finished,will sent the GT up to Tim Browns and travel from there,
I will keep you informed.
