Le Mans 2009

Team Seattle is racing at Le Mans this year.

Team Seattle has raced in the Daytona 24 for the last 12 years. During this period we have raised over $3,500,000 for unfunded care for Seattle Childrens Hospital's Pediatric Cardiac center. The Cardiac Center is one of the best in the world.

In 2009 Team Seattle is partnering with the Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque in Paris in our fund raising efforts. for info check out www.mecenat-cardiaque.org.

We will be racing a 2009 Ferrari 430 from Team Advanced Engineering. This is the factory "customer" race team. Truly one of the best race team managers to have for endurance racing.

Watch and root for Car#81.

The drivers, all from the USA, are Don Kitch, Joe Foster and Patrick Dempsey. Don is founder of Team Seattle and two time Daytona winner. Joe Foster is a nationally recognized Ford Mustang driver. And of course Patrick Demspey while being a long time Mazda and Ford Mustang racer, is much better know as "Dr. McDreamy" on the Gray's Anatomy television show.

Our goal this year is to raise an additional $1,000,000 for the two hospitals. Go to www.teamseattle.com for more information on per lap donations. Keep in mind that 100% of the contributions go directly to help the Children.

race is coming back live on Speed in the next hour.

Team Seattle #81 Ferrari is doing well, mostly staying out of trouble etc.

And raising $700+ for each lap completed!!!!!!

btw Speed Channel has excellent live streaming, with British and American announcers, who know their stuff.

btw(2) Le Mans (ACO) web has hourly standings posted. Instant updates.

GO FAR TEAM SEATTLE! Racing for the Children.

Apart for danish Tom Kristensen not winning - for a change :) - everything went pretty well.

Jan Magnussen won together with the Corvette and danish team Essex won the LMP2 class
