Added this car in August of 2008.

Sat for a year while deciding what level it should be restored to.

Numbers matching engine, but not the transaxle. No big.

Original color was cream with red leather interior.

Would have been a good choice to stick with for ease of care.

Really like the final concours restoration.

Very nice! Love the office chair for comfortable extended viewing.

Very nice. I love the color combo on the '57 T-bird, too.

Ironically, I'm looking to add a 2011 911 Speedster 356 to the stable at some point. I think that will be a future collectible with only 356 units produced.

BTW, beautiful car. Very classy!!

Thanks guys.

A ton of work. Barn find from Bozeman, Montana. Belonged to really nice folks there. They were totally accommodating and made me feel like family.

Thanks. A special car as well. Gunmetal gray with red interior. This is an "E Code" car (factory dual quads) and a 3 speed w/over-drive transmission. Have wide whites and wires, but kind of like the "bad-boy" look of the black-walls and button caps.

Very nice. Great story re the Bozeman couple too. That Bird is cold as ice too.

Your 356 looks fantastic! Enjoy! Congrats on a wonderful restoration.

Absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!

Just curious...whose lift is that. BB? Any problem clearing the GT?
Thx, T

Thanks everyone for your kind comments on the 356. Love/hate relationship while the car was in the process. Quite a few parts turning up missing, and workmanship that was substandard, IMHO. However, today, it is a great little car with just a few more issues to be addressed.

First passenger ride went to my elderly neighbor, Fred. Suffering through the past 10 or so years with Parkinson's disease and he can barely walk. The ride in the 356 brought him back to the days when he owned a '62, 356 Coupe. Of course, his favorite ride is always in the FGT!

He is a true car guy and a great friend.

Great car! Will we see it at the WCH?

That is an impressive collection of cars. Would enjoy seeing them.

Was 13 when I first saw the GT40, but have to say no matter the venue, the Chaparral always had my attention.

I worked with a lady that had one. She had it restored to high quality - it looked new inside and out. I thought it was gorgeous.
