Last year I was fortunate to meet legendary Eurosport and ACO commentator Martin Haven. I ran into him again this year and he offered to take Specracer and myself on a private tour of the television studios. At the end of the tour he allowed us in the booth and he even let us do a little color commentary. I can’t thank him enough.
There is a great interview of Doug Yates on the Ford live stream. It starts when the race time remaining is 14 hours 33 minutes remaining. If I can find a direct link I’ll post it, but he tells a great story of how Roush/Yates comes to be.
I checked and the Keating/Wynn car is ahead in the GTE-AM class by over a lap! And currently in 39th overall with the GTE-PRO Ford GTs currently in 29, 30, 31 and 35. Does the GTE-AM car run with the same BoP as the PRO cars?
I posted on my FB page a interview with Ben Keating explaining the difference in the two classes! In his own words “My Class carries more weight and less power so we are 3+ seconds slower than the pro Cars”. the GT’s Are exactly the same except for those two factors! I tries to post the interview on the Forum but couldn’t! I’m unable to post any video I receive for some reason?
I’m sitting on the outside of Mulsanne corner right now. GTE Pro Fords have been hampered by safety cars but all still running strong in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Keating car continues to lead GTE Am comfortably despite the odd excursion.
It’s just coming up to 9am. Only six hours to go...
Wynn’s, Ben Keating’s Ford GT is still one lap ahead of the second place car and running well representing the Ford GT Forum! Picked up some pictures during the night!
