I have been here since yesterday. So far weather hasn't stopped action at the track from what I can hear. I'm 5 minutes from it. We are dry till 4:30 today if everything stays on course.

Brrrr. I'm originally from Huron and my cousin lives in Watertown. I used to go back to visit relatives every Thanksgiving and ended up shoveling lots of snow everywhere I went to visit folks.

Hurricane Michael went east of me so I'm only getting moderate winds and rain. The winds are out of the north due to the counterclockwise rotation of northern hurricanes, so that's also much better for me. I've got about a 3-4 foot water surge, but the water and waves are driven away from me instead of inland towards me. The folks east of Panama City will have it much worse and I hope everyone fairs well.

We're here and settled in. Had a pretty scary moment with the RV sliding on wet ground down a slope trying to get parked. We are in but will not be able to move until things dry out.

I drove up Wed., got to Atlanta about 9:30 PM, was a piece of cake and I was further west.. You missed the fun !!
