My guess is series 1 will be a tribute to the black with gold wheels car I posted and series 2 will be a version the new red, white, blue race car. I would be happy to purchase either one!

Any other fans of the #5 Ronnie Bucknum car?

The black with gold wheels option is certainly more mainstream option for a series 1 choice

I still have some of my originals of Competition Press and get them out now and again to refresh my memory. Timely reporting - within a week after the races. It'll be hard to replace Denise for the writing, but of course, she didn't write all of it!

Steve, you forgot to put Ecoboost on it.

Ralphie, do you have anything there on how to repair your cell wall?

Ralphie I remember my Dad getting Competition Press when I was a kid. He probably still has some of them too so I'll have to ask him about digging them out. Would be fun to read through them

The likely guess are historic schemes that pay tribute to the 66 and 67 Le Mans winners>>

That actually makes more sense to me now that I think of it than the other idea of a '66 homage for series 1 and nfgt race car livery for series 2.

Ford did something just like that for their Boss 302 tributes - the 2012 was a '69 tribute and the 2013 was a '70 tribute.

Black and gold wheel car '66 winner, then a red and white '67 winner color scheme (Mk IV red, not liquid red of course!)

The next logical step would please the Gulf livery fans for series 3 !

I'd like to see a full naked gloss carbon option. :)

Any hopes Ford will individually customize cars for owners like MSO does for McLaren? Would be cool to have each car slightly unique and built for it's owner. My 675LT process was like that and makes the ownership experience even more special.

I would think not... but what do I know... sounds to me like they will have their hands full getting the 250 a year. Maybe towards the end of the run??

I also would like to see a Ford MSO version. All 3 of my McLaren's I spent big money with mso my 650S spider over $50K just with MSO.

could be big profits for ford and also give each gt owner option to really make a custom GT

I even made my own color called electric blue on my 650s

I would get that for sure or add a blue tint to the clear coat so you have blue carbon

That's a fantastic photo of a full carbon body. Carbon is often difficult to capture effectively in an image, but wow, that photo nailed it.

My guess would be that we will find out for livery 1 in June before the 24 hr race and for livery 2 in August at Pebble Beach...

If given the chance to get one, I have a feeling I will be very stingy with check boxes. This is a huge investment, and I will be looking to keep things in control. If I had limitless resources, would love to have a bespoke experience. Wonder if time will be the enemy, as maybe just making 250 a year might be difficult enough with out offering more custom options. Who knows... not I, for sure.
