I texted TireRack about new Bridgestone tires, and gave them the size of the
tires recommended on the forum. They texted me back and stated that they
do not recommend the 265/40R18. They recommended the 255/40R18 ´because
the 265/40R18 was a shade too tall and may create some issues with the GT´s
traction control.
Sorry if this was already covered, I had been covering the tires up until a few months
ago, but just dropped out due to issues.

Thanks,
Hugh

What traction control? There is none. Order what everyone else has ordered for years with excellent results.

Thanks, that is what I thought. Just had to run this by the forum just in case something had changed.

I believe everyone is running the 255/40 18.

That's what I've been using the last 9 years

I run the 265's. Zero issues.

265s on my car for the last 10 years. No problems.

265's on my GT. Bigger and wider is better right?? The 265's work great.

265 here. Talked to Scott Ahlman about this back in the day. His comment (what I remember) weight bias is to the rear so having a touch more tire, and grip, wouldn't be a bad thing.
