Is this the one and only 2005 GT Heritage? Who owns the car now? Wouldn't that make this the most unique GT?

That's not the same car as ours. The front end is a little different, the clamshell ducts are different, and the side marker lights are different. Looks like windshield washer outlets or hold down clips on the front hood. The window frames are different, too.

Unless I'm seeing things, it appears to have "pins" on the boot AND at the rear(???!) of the clam shell...and possibly 2 more at the base of the clam shell window. 'Also looks like there's 4 'Dzus' fittings(?) on the clam shell as well at its fwd end & side. 'Looks like there may be 2 more fwd of the lower front corner of the door. If all that's so, that's some pretty delicate detailing!

'Bumper delete, too!

Edit: 'Can't really make out the headlites...but, they may be a bit different from ours.

Thats one of the cars they used to drive around for press. That car was probably every color under the son. They look like zeus (sp) fasteners on the engine clamshell.

Also missing is the lever to manually open the boot on the left front fender behind the wheel well.

2005 Heritage GT

That is NOT the 2005 GT that was originally painted in the Heritage Blue color, THIS is:

normal_5-0036.JPG

You will obviously notice, it is no longer Heritage Blue - it is Tungsten Grey. So it was not only the only 2005 painted in Heritage Blue, it was also the only 2005 to be painted in Tungsten Grey.

The car you pictured above is Workhorse #3. It now resides in Livonia, MI, a little worse for wear:

If you had a copy of the SAAC GT Registry, you would know all about this ;-)

Yup. And it appears the chin spoiler may be strictly "vertical" instead of "L" shaped...although, from the angle/distance the pic was shot, it's hard to tell what's shadow and what isn't.

Isn't it in the Roush Museum? This is Workhorse 3 there last October and it has a Gurney bubble.. I also think the Doral Picture is a model.

I agree with you Joe. It's a model and not the real deal.

Pretty sure its a real car, not a model. I think the resolution on the photo is making it look like that....

It is real, Its just got fiberglass parts on it like the first mules did although some of those parts were carbon. Also if you look its got a 1 piece scoops and rocker panels. There was a pic of a white car in canada at a show somewhere here posted not long ago. they both share the same parts. As you can tell the fenders, hood, front bumper are all grafted together.

This picture is of a engineering car we built early in the build. I believe it was PB-2-2. Same blue paint with no orange livery. We were told that it was suppose to be the Gulf paint scheme, but because of copyright issues, (later resolved) it was left plain blue. I'm sure the car was repainted at some point, but not sure when or what color. :thumbsup

I actually like it without the Orange just as well.
