05 black/silver

I retired a couple of months ago and I should sell a couple of my cars. I have an 05 black with silver stripes all options plus Borla exhaust and shift kit (cost me an extra $4300) that I would sell. The car hasn't been abused in any way (I'm too mature --63 -- for that) It has 11,000 miles but they are mostly highway miles from trips my wife and I have taken. A dealer offered me $140,000 (the car is perfect) but if a private party wanted it for a few thousand more I'd rather do that.

Oh, you'll get a "few thou. more"! The dealer was giving HIMSELF a real deal the way FGT prices are today!:thumbsup (This is assuming the car's never been wrecked or wounded, however.)

'Blue/white '06 w/6K miles on it just went for $167,900 (give or take $50) either today or yesterday on ebay...

05 black silver for sale

I forgot to put in my telephone contact info should anyone be interested in buying the car. My cel is (805) 490 4801.

I don't know what the real value of the car is but if someone will give $143,000 for it that means it would have cost me $30,000 (a little less than $3.00 per mile in depreciation) to enjoy the car for 2 years. For the person who purchases the car, I think that a $30,000 savings is a pretty good deal.

To help an interested party to understand why I'm willing to sell the car, here is a list of the other cars/bikes I own. When I retired, my income was halved so I need to reduce my overhead a bit.

06 Saleen convertible-- for sale.
32 Ford (Dearborn Duece) rod
33 Studebaker rod
69 Firebird
69 Corvette
05 Harley Screamin' Eagle
03 American Thunder custom --for sale.
02 Harley Old Boy--for sale.
07 Lincoln MKX (wife)
06 RV --now here is the money pit!!!!! But the wife loves it. Hmmm--here's a thought. What if I offer someone a fantastic package deal on the Linoln, the RV and the wife? Then I could keep everything else! Just kidding, honey--really. Believe me, PLEASE.

Hey! Somebody here needs to be paying attention. $143000 for a Black GT with Borla and short shifter is a steal.

Makes me think about buying a third one but even I can't justify that. (Right, like anybody can justify having two!)

Somebody needs to step up and investigate this deal. I know somebody out there wants a second car.

Where are you located Ed?

And you need to edit your headline to say "for sale". Might draw more attention.

05 black/silver for sale

Sorry, I'm not very good at selling cars, only buying or building them.
Although I did manage to sell the 53 and 58 Corvettes. They were fun to look at but lousy to drive. And, of course, if you alter them to improve the handling, the value goes right out the window.

I live in Simi Valley, Ca.

The 69 Corvette is a 427, triple carb, 4 speed with factory sport suspension --black with silver interior. Not a great handling car by today's standards but still fun. Feels a whole lot faster than it really is. No, it isn't for sale. Too much personal history. Besides, the thing always needs tinkering and when I'm in the garage, she's (the wife) not there. I can say that because I'm already in the dog house with the last smart alec wife remark I made on this site.Thank you for showing an interest, though. Your taste in automobiles is excellent.

I talked with Ed on Friday. He has sold his car to a dealer so it should resurface soon.
