Anyone have exhaust rattle from Heffner cat-back?

Thank's Heffner performance Just as an update, My customer brought his car back to me Tuesday to do a couple things and to look more into the exhaust rattle from his cat back pipes. As I said in the original post the pipes were mounted solid and not contacting anything so I was convinced that...

Air bag light on/off switch question

In the off position the light should be on solid. If it is not staying on there is a problem. I am surprised that the air bag light on the gauge cluster is not flashing. The air bag module selftests the p.a.d. on every start up and moniters it while driving. If the switch was open internaly the...

Anyone have exhaust rattle from Heffner cat-back?

Thanks for the replies guys. The Heffner pipes are such quality Pisces and the welds and bends on them are flawless so I really didn't think that something on them would come loose but you never know. I checked the mounting bolts and all of them are tight and not contacting anything. I may pull...

Anyone have exhaust rattle from Heffner cat-back?

I was working on a car today for some unrelated problems and while running the car noticed a rattle noise from the exhaust. I can bang on the tips or cats with my fist and sounds like something is loose inside the cat-back pipes. The pipes are secure and are not touching anything. Does anyone...

    CF & weight savings help

The Ford trans cooler is 4.5 lb with the mounting bracket on it. I could not get the lines on the scale, but they are light. This is with the cooler dry so add a little for the extra fluid.

Air bag light on/off switch question

MK2, the small light next to you pad(pasanger air bag deactivation) switch should light when the switch is in the off position and the ignition is in the on position. The light should be out when the pad switch is in the on position. Check to see if the small light next to the switch will prove...

My winter projects, LOTS OF PICS!

Nice work. I really like the clear side markers. I always liked the yellow fog lights too. If you decide you don't like the yellow covers yo may want to consider a 3000k h.i.d. kit for the fog lights. they look really good and provide real "fog light" visibility.

Anyone insist on Watching their GT get worked on?

This subject has been coming up alot lately with me as I have had a few GT owners asking to watch some of the things being done on there car. I have no problem with It and I think you will find alot of GT techs don't. The problem as we all know is with the dealerships insurance and some dealer...

Shadowman making life a bit easier

That would explain a little why there are so hard to get out and there are a lot of parts and panels on the car that are one time use, but Ford does not allow for the fender shields to be replaced after removed under warenty. I wish they did because every time I have to work around the fenders...

Finally got some ambition & motivation to tear the car apart

Mark I am glad you can now apreciate what it takes to get the inner fender splash sheilds out. I tell owners all the time when doing work around the fenders that the hardest part of the job is going to be the splash sheilds and they laugh like I'm kidding. Almost like the car was built around...
