Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

Got my HRE's w/ PS2's! Well yesterday I had the new wheels and tires fitted. Fortunately, in the morning I had a very heavy driving session with a race driver friend on the existing tires. We both did some very spirited driving, so I had good feel for how the Corsa Systems were working. I put...

    High Horsepower GT's

My Dynojet numbers are just in but seems the particular dynojet must be an old model or something since it couldn't measure beyond 676HP. It looks like my car was heading for 700 but its hard to be sure. So for now: 676.28 RWHP Whipple @19#/accufab TB/FFRP headers/exhaust...

Finally got my GT on a Dynojet here in Oz- but it ran out of range at +680RWHP!?!

Hi guys, So last Thursday I finally got to have my 'apples-apples' dyno run done here on the 1 and only Dynojet in Sydney (of I think 2 in the country). I sent the GT up with my tuner. I got the phone call about lunch time to say the runs had been done. However, the thing is I was told my GT...

Jeremy Clarkson's GT on new season Top Gear - BBC America

Man, I would be very surprised if you guys were further behind the UK than we are in Top Gear episodes. I already get sick of people talking about the series 10 eps I'd already seen at the start of the year that only started here on TV a month and a bit ago :secret:. I'll be watching S11 ep 06...

    Question on tires

I recently went P-zero Corsa Systems on my stock rims. I dislike the side wall look enough to now have ordered some HRE's with PS2's. The Corsa will be for the track. In terms of grip improvement the Corsas are night and day from the stock Goodyears...

Shadowman tuned my Whipple to perfection! 743rwhp

Ok right... totally understand the equation there. I won't start looking into going to 21psi in my setup. I was thinking the RWHP output seemed very similar to a 19psi setup in the first place. :cheers

Shadowman tuned my Whipple to perfection! 743rwhp

I see. That could explain a quite a lot in itself. Would be good to confirm that as I was starting to go down the road of looking into moving up to 21psi after reading this thread.

Shadowman tuned my Whipple to perfection! 743rwhp

Nice result. I got told 21psi would be pushing it too much for a 91 setup both from supplier and tuner. Ironically, I am running on a min of 93 anyway with 19psi. I'm somewhat surprise you are getting that good a tractability on the Goodyear's, when my car was setup recent I found the...

Mods for Left hand road driving

All I can say is better you than me bro. My head would done in trying to drive LHD on the left after a while. Particularly then jumping into my RHD Cayenne straight after a session driving the GT in LHD.

Does anyone have an SCT file tune for a Whipple?

I was able to get a base tune from MMP, being as I bought my whipple kit from them. Mind you I had to get Jack convince their tuning guy I wasn't somehow going to start profiting here in Oz(amongst the thriving community of all 9 GTs) from re-selling their tune before he'd agree to give the base...

Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

LOL- nice one. The set on your profile page are definitely more than +1 if you know what I mean, very well fitted to chassis though :rofl My guy from the distributors beat me to it and provided the comparo with the -1 Michelin sizing as used also on the Heffner car with a link to it as well...

Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

Bony, what are your wheel specs again? I want to reply to the HRE distrib and let him know that there is a more optimum sizing that suits the HRE combo. Mind you it is up to me if I want to buy tires separately as well rather than together.

Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

Ok well I'm being quoted the following as the same as the HRE 844Rs as seen on the HRE website on the blue GT: HRE 844R – (three piece – forged alloy) Recommended Wheel Sizes; 19x10 – Front 20x11.5 – Rear Recommended Tyre Sizes; 275/35R19 – Front 315/35R20 – Rear This rear size tyre is our...

Mods for Left hand road driving

Main thing with driving on Left vs Right on the road is the centre line is always there so to speak as to opposed to in the air or on water where there's no need to think about 'sides' as such. I can assure you the that steering is the first thing that comes to mind in such a delicate...

Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

Right back at you re the color, great minds as they say eh:cheers! I agree on wheels, I have been eying different options over the past year before my car was ready. The HRE really only sunk in when I looked at them yesterday, even though I've looked at them before. Thing I really like is...

Only seen the photos of the HRE's and they don't quote what rubber they're using. I'm thinking PS2 as well. I haven't seen the size quoted here either on the HRE's but I know the car used on HRE's site is a member here and seen a thread on it also not quote exact sizing.

Ok, need some new whipple friendly tires- Pzero Corsas or Potenzas?

I've decided that I'm going to go ahead with my original thinking and get a set of the HRE 844R wheels that very closely resemble the stock BBS but come in 20/19. I'll leave aside the factories with the Corsa for track use - I really hate the look they've created that much now with the rear...

Mods for Left hand road driving

Guess you folks in Kiwiland are lucky, it's extremely hard in Oz to legally drive a LHD car anywhere but the NT AFAIK. Frankly, after spending the $A69k that I did on RHD, I'm glad I did it. It would drive me nuts driving LHD on the left. Not to mention I reckon it would prove a real hazard...
