Ok I know this is just a simple autox car but I think this normally aspirated FE sounds a lot better than the bundle of snakes weber carbed FE in the Mark II. Cobra has side exhausts with mufflers and is chipped at 8200 (modern components). The Cobra has 200 TW tires but is still getting 1.4...
I wonder if there might be drive line durability issues too because of the pulsed nature of power delivery. Ti rods and valves with a conventional crank might have been a better approach for high rpm capability.
I have similar floating AP rotors with Carbotech pads they are great, the original drilled rotors packed up with pad material and had terrible shudder.
My glass cracked while the car was sitting on jack stands in the garage under it's cover. The only thing that may have caused the crack was high ambient temperature. We did not find any evidence of a potential contact between the glass and anything else. The car had 5100 miles with no issues...
This what happens when you have amateurs trying to create something from a recognized master piece. It reminds me of those atrocious camper shells you see on the highway ruining the lines of a professionally styled truck.
Isn't Gateway where they had the simi annual dynamite shoot to benefit the Volunteer Fire Department? They had targets out to 850 yds that were pop cans filled with blasting material that would go up in a big way if you hit them. I went years ago before the museum was built but remember being...
It would be quite difficult to tell the difference between +p 38 and .357 in terms of flash and noise. If you want to see flash try a .460 with suppressor putting a 200 grain bullet out at 2000 fps. I would rather have a snub that I carry, than anything else that is home in the safe.
I missed by a bunch, I thought he told me 17 the last time we spoke. He is a very nice down to earth guy and gets really annoyed when some one tries to pass off a "continuation", replica, or kit car as real.
There is not enough money in the entire Ford racing budget to develop a winning Lemans car in the prototype class, not to mention the shortage of engineering talent to pull it off. Take a look at what Audi spent and continues to spend.
I agree completely on S&W I own (2) 1911 Kimbers in .45 acp, a colt single 6 in .22 mag, a S&W .460 and a S&W 340. All are listed on my CCW but I never carry anything but my 340 because as you say, you don't even know it is there. You can practice with .38's and then a few .357's for good...
This was posted on a Cobra web site, strange choices. The only ones I would agree with are the last three, which are not in the top 10.
10 Automobiles I would pick over the Ford GT
I received a PM asking what cars I enjoyed better than the Ford GT. Well every day is a new day and tastes...
Looks a little nervous compared with the P1, lots of counter steer there. I agree on the Fan Boy comment. I would bet it won't be as fast at the ring as the other two.
I doubt any of these "fixes" will prevent gauge failures, the failure mode is within the basic design of the gauge, that is why they redesigned the gauge electronics. Having the air motor coils connected directly to the microprocessor with no apparent protection for the microprocessor drivers...
Ask Mark McGowan he would know as would DBK. Might be the new SVT flat Crank track Mustang, I hope it trashes the new Z28 but that won't be easy, GM pulled out all the stops on that one. They even dumped the Delco magnetic shocks for some real race shocks and installed a belly pan along with...
I certainly agree with you, the styling is terrible, it looks like someone who designs pick-up truck camper shells did the design work, good luck selling them.
