This probably happens frequently and is just not noticed. I have started taking pictures of the tires mounted on the wheels right after installation to reference back and see if they rotate after driving.
Girodisc rotors should be superior to the stock parts in every way. They also face the correct direction on both sides of the car unlike the stock rotors.
Not sure they still offer this, but I had Race Ramps make a custom set that splits into sections allowing them to nest within the lift runways for storage.
