Race cars ALWAYS add ballast to make their minimum weight. That is the whole point of using lightweight materials.....to be massively underweight to allow the engineers to add ballast WHERE they want it, in order to fine tune the handling.

Any race car for Le Mans will be WAY less than 2,900 lbs. The Matech GT1 cars were 2,450 lbs....how does that compare to the street car ?

This arrived today....my early copy....and I'm thrilled how it's turned out... These images were taken on my iPad so quality is low. The images in the book are, as you would expect, razor sharp :-) Those who have ordered will be more than pleased. Xmas present time :-)

I'm glad you've all heard about the 2016 we're planning. I did show the Rally 9 attendees a short film giving a teaser of our plans for Le Mans in 2016. The planning for this massive event, exclusively for Forum members and your Ford GTs, commenced back in April, and I've been busy working...

The issue is providing 1,700 images at over 10Mb per image. I decided to give a large selection of the best imagery that will fit onto a 2Gb USB stick.

There's no potentially about it. That is the cover :-), including police chase car .

All the image files are with Dave who is putting something nice together for you all. And the book is 99.9% complete. Just a couple more words to check and it's done. Again, DBK will tell you more about this in the next day or two. It looks stunning ! :-)

Just sent the whole lot to Dave...which includes a much larger set from Spring Mountain. Even if you weren't already, the pictures make you all look like heroes behind the wheel. :-)

It's perfectly safe to ship, but I would ship using a sealed container with 2 cars per container and nothing else inside. The time the cars are left waiting at either end of the journey is more of a concern. The tour I've been planning for Dave will have everything taken care of, including...
