Sneak Peek - Stainless Works headers/exhaust kit

I can't answer that as well as I would like because they don't list the specs of the Ford headers. But the biggest thing is the merge collectors. The Ford headers do not have merge collectors. Merge collectors are usually a $500-$700 option all by themselves. Also, I'm not sure what grade of...

Sneak Peek - Stainless Works headers/exhaust kit

Here are some pics of the prototype headers from Stainless Works. We will be getting the car back that these will be on in about 3 weeks or so. So expect dyno number within 4 weeks. There will be a few options on the kit, all of them very reasonable in my opinion. For those that don't know...

    Modded FORD GT 10.4 @ 144mph VIDEO!

I'm not sure this approach makes sense to me. If the tube is collapsing due to excessive vacuum, wouldn't it make alot more sense to open up the intake track to relieve the vacuum condition thus making more horsepower? The only reason there would be a vacuum in the inlet pipe would be due to a...

New Gt Lacking Performance - Any Ideas ?

While not the most scientific approach, we can look to the 03/04 Cobra as a good example with LOTS of data to go off of. We regularly take that stock engine and bolt on a Kenne Bell or Whipple supercharger and push 600 rwhp. Remember, these cars were designed with the stock Eaton supercharger at...

New Gt Lacking Performance - Any Ideas ?

Be sure not to waste you time and just go to a dyno that will give you numbers only. You need to go to someone who specializes in high performance Fords so they can do proper datalogging. If you just go to a dyno and the numbers are low, then what? You have no info. Data is priceless. Ken

    New Exhaust System

Is this just for the exhaust/no headers? That seems pricey. Also, I'd like to see an independent dyno test. That graph shows large gains throughout the powerband and that usually doesn't happen with an exhaust upgrade. Gains usually don't come in until the higher RPMs. That graph looks to be...

    Modded FORD GT 10.4 @ 144mph VIDEO!

The red light has nothing to do with the ET/MPH that it ran. No one really cares if he won the race.

    dyno pulls

Hey, are you the same guy who collects all the data on the Cobras? You're a data machine! LOL PM me your email. Since this was just a baseline, I didn't get the boost info logged (not super important for the tuning) but when it comes back for the exhaust I will be doing a more complete session...

    dyno pulls

I think what he's looking for is an easy way to compare different modifications instead of sorting through searches. Maybe it would be a good idea to make a sticky post with only data in it. Just the dyno graph and list of modifications. That way anyone looking to add modifications can look at...

    dyno pulls

Our customer is not really a computer guy, so I'll post this. Only mods are a 2.8" pulley and an MD dyno tune. He should also have something to address the MAF, but the car is getting a custom exhaust fabbed for it and we will take care of it then. This tune was conservative considering it only...

    Performance Packages / Need Volunteer(s)

I already requested the wideband bungs from Stainless Works and they said they would incorporate those standard. As for the intake/airbox, I would need someone to take me up on the 'need a volunteer' portion of this thread. I need a car here to really design it right, then of course test it. Ken

All head work would be done by Al P. of Boss330 We will probably go with a custom grind from Comp as their cams seems to be the most consistant grinds. On the exhaust, I was estimating closer to $4,000, the rest goes towards labor. Their goal is to come in under FRPP on price. Ken

Hard to say right now as they haven't gotten too far with it yet and they are not sure what will fit, but 3" is the plan. We are using the Mafia. Yeah yeah, I know it's diablo, but it works pretty well. On the car we did with the 2.8 pulley, the MAF pegged at 6,400 RPM. Tony at HP had the one...

Not a GT, but you guys may like this

We're actually putting fourcam330's car together for him as soon as Al is done with it. You may want to talk to Al about your decision, but I'm pretty sure the GT block is waaaay better that the SHM/World block.

This isn't a Ford GT, but it is an impressive 4V twin screw Ford. The car is a 2004 Cobra, mods are as follows: 4.6L Boss330 Racing engine (name of the company, doesn't mean it's 330ci) Kenne Bell 2.4L at 22psi Crower Cams Kooks Long tubes and mid pipe Magnaflow exhaust MD fuel upgrade MD...

Well, how about 1 7/8"? I think that's the plan on the Stainless Works. And the system with the cats will probably have to be a mid length. So if you really wanted a mid length without cats, that shouldn't be a problem. Ken

They are going to try offer a system that will allow cats, but that may compromise the peformance. Not only due to the flow, but also the routing. There isn't much room for them once you extend the primaries. Even with Cats, I'm sure it will not have CARB approval. Ken

It's really hard to say what it is going to sound like. Stainless Works is going to try and bring the entire exhaust in under the FRPP exhaust. So maybe in the $3500-$4000 range. Ken

We are located in Cincinnati, OH. No, I'm not Kenne Bell. There actually is no Kenne Bell. There is a Jim Bell and Ken Christley that started Kenne Bell. But if you are not close to us, shipping is always an option. We have had a few people ship there cars to us without a problem. Ken
