We went all four years that the GTs ran, and sadly watched them get less competitive each year, culminating in the disgraceful DQs of 2019. Agreed though that 2016 was the most special, particularly for some of us lucky ones who got to hoon around Europe in our GTs prior to the race!

Can’t wait to see Chip’s scantily-clad cheerleaders....

Josue at Houston PPF has wrapped 15 and counting new GTs. Single wrap everywhere, double wrap around the aero bits and triple wrap on door bottoms. Clearplex on the windshield too. Usually takes him three days. After wrapping I had mine ceramic coated, coating the carbon wheel made them soooo...

This is my car that Tomy was referring to. It will be in the Bonhams auction later this month at Amelia Island - time to move on!

GT Guy all the way!

I had a Pro M in my 19 GT and loved it. Lowest false alert rating of any detector and, more importantly in the new GT, it’s tiny so doesn’t get in your way or stress the windshield mirror bracket. They’re about to release a new model, the Theia, that’s claimed to be the best detector in the world.

He has sold his tech to several companies including, I think, Porsche. I’m a total luddite when it comes to electric cars, but can’t wait for my hideously-ugly Cybertruck to be delivered - buy Texan!

The lid-raising mechanism on that C8 is amazing, like something out of a steampunk movie, all cogs and gears on full display.

Back in the bad old days when I had a McLaren, I remember commenting on their forum that it wasn’t proper for people to post pix of wrecks, and that we should follow the GT Forum policy. I was pilloried, the reaction being akin to “ but dude, wrecks are sooo cool”

Get these a couple of times per year. He even offered to buy my new GT for a maximum of $100k over MSRP. The guy is a ‘class act’.........

I remember seeing her during the forum trip to Daytona in 2016 to watch the GT’s debut. She was driving a Porsche.

The fuel gauges on these cars are hilariously bad: after a track day especially, they’ll tell you fifty miles to empty when the tank is three quarter full!
