Looks great, David! We sell and support Girodiscs Brakes also when you are ready! (Specracer has them on his FGT) Great floating two piece rotors that don't make noise due to their design.

2005-2006 Ford GT Ricardo Transaxle for Sale

I purchased this 3,000 mile transaxle from The GT Guy (Rich Brooks) in January 2016 with the intent for use in a future mid engine car project I had planned. Rich purchased this transaxle new from Ford to use in a GT that was wrecked and having its original transaxle repaired. Rich removed...

    Bridgestone replacement source

We do not have a curve or objective data on the tires down at these temps...significant FGT and tire knowledge and experience shows that is the start of the worst point (the glass transition point)...for the tires at least. Tires behave linearly up to near the limit and then very non-linear at...

    Bridgestone replacement source

Yes below 40 degrees most performance tires (or tires in general) don't have nearly the grip of ~70 deg F. The stock Goodyear loss in grip in the cold is even more noticeable. We call that 40 deg F the "Glass transition point" where the grippy rubber starts acting like plastic. Further the FGT...

    Tire stagger

Absolutely GT@50. Glad to participate as well. Thank you for the continued support Specracer and Howard. And this community in general.

    Tire stagger

Well yes and no...it was purely styling and matching the GT40 MkI and MkII appearance / proportions of the body and the wheels in sizes and sidewall heights. So the result is yes it works well for the lower front hood and big rear "hips" as Camilo likes to say. So fender clearance for turning...

    Standing Mile

Sorry Buddy, I wish I did have pictures of these runs. McGowan may from my runs or Walsh's. But I don't think so.

    Standing Mile

Ed, while a lot less than the NFGT, the '05 - '06 FGT has 500 lb of downforce at 180 mph (between 60-70% of that on the rear tires). That goes up with speed squared (so 617 pounds at 200 mph). If you get to watch the '05 in the 180 mph region plus it shoves the car down almost to the bump stops...

    Standing Mile

Sinovac is right...the NFGT has a lot more downforce stock than the '05 - '06 and that also means it has a lot more drag unless it is a lot more efficient (lift / drag ratio). Which I don't think is possible.

How can you increase supercharger wine?

Good! Its great all of our efforts on eliminating unwanted noises worked well. For sure the exhaust note is a wanted sound (well, at least for us gearheads...your neighbors may disagree!) The cold start on my R8 V10 with aftermarket AWE exhaust is crazy loud...sounds so good...good thing I don't...

How can you increase supercharger wine?

Glad you agree with our direction. I think the car's values and continued feedback show that we chose correctly. Yes it is still discernible, but even to me who strongly prefers naturally aspirated engines, it seems quite good. Especially relative to any other SC car. The team chose extra...

How can you increase supercharger wine?

This is an interesting thread...jammer see what I wrote above in post #21. On a stock Ford GT, no pulley/tune, etc the whine is pretty low. We worked hard to make it so. If you have a stock FGT that is making noticeable SC whine then something is probably not working the way it should.
