In that area on my car it only has the one Battery cable [Positive] wraped in a black cloth sheath. Also that wire tie is probably something added extra at the same time. I think it would be unlikly Ford would have put a wire tie there and even more unlikly that they wouldn't have cut it...

Yes they are for the headlights. You can also see the side marker lights that were put on the Euro cars. Also in this picture I took at La-Mans you can see the rear lights in the bumper. Here is a better picture of the side marke lights placed just behind the front tire.

As per the 2006 Ford Gt Workshop manual page 303-01-07 The engine oil must be checked within 1 minute of shutting off the engine. The oil level should be within the Min/Max marks on the oil level indicator. Do not overfill the resorvoir past the Max mark. When did you check it? i would think...

Does Ford us a specific "Break In " oil in these cars when New? I ask because My neighbor just picked up a 2008 with only 200 miles on it. He wants to change oil and start fresh. Can he just change it with the recomended oil and not worry about it or should he use something else? Lorenzo
