I do know who has the tooling as well as a few others here that know. Most likely nothing will become of it and like most stuff it will get thrown away as it's ford property.

The company still has the headlamp tooling, FORD owns it.. others and I have talked to them..

Total loss is usually 70% of value. But that is not always the case either and esp when dealing with cars of these values. This car when wrecked would of been a total loss cause they were not worth what they are now and would of been well over 150k to fix it. I've never heard of an insurance...

No insurance on it when accident happened most likely.. I'm building two gt's that were destroyed (both new chassis rebuilds).. One the owner decided to not make the claim and eat the loss.. About 275K loss being I paid 76k for the car in 2021 (5000 mile car) and the second guy was self insured...

He's a collector of them, also buys, sells and fixes wrecked GT's. They have built a bunch of wrecked GT's but pretty hard to claim worlds largest builder of Ford GT's when there are about 4-5 of us doing it. I would assume he means he put brand new nos parts on the car. Not new parts in color...

The bulbs are replaceable in the GT's. That's not the problem here. The Problem is Ford has not produced head lamps since 2009 and they only made about 100 spare sets then. The tooling is there for them to be made now as the company that made them still has the tooling. But the projector stuff...

Yes. I had tooling made for headers that will bolt up to stock muffler and aftermarket x pipes. I will also be able to incorporate mufflers or cats into them for guys who want to run in cali.. I also built tooling for x pipes for both bumper delete and stock bumper.

I supplied him with a muffler and will be supplying him with headers that bolt up to a muffler or x pipe.. My fixtures will be done this weekend it sounds like. Should sound great!
