Part numbers for Shock and Calipers bolts

Ford recommends once use and replacement of the shock and brake caliper mounting bolts. Does anyone know the part numbers and or size bolts and grade so that replacement can be procured?

I have a call into a Ford dealer and he told me he couldn't find the part numbers for them and will have to email Ford. I am thinking that a Grade 12.9 in the right sizes should be fine.

If the Ford bolts are not reusable it may be beneficial to find the same thing in a ARP fastener that are reusable. Accufab uses the ARP fasteners in their Axel flange kits. The Ford axle flange bolts are one time use the ARP's are reusable. Same situation different area. The ARP fasteners are first rate !!

W500572-S426 = rear shock to knuckle bolt
W705518-S427 = rear shock to knuckle nut

Front upper (2 req'd per side) = 4 total
Front Lower ( 1 req'd per side ) = 2 total . Note has no nut
Rear Upper ( 2 req'd per side) = 4 total
Rear lower ( 1 req'd per side ) = 2 total
Rear lower lock nut ( 1 req'd per side ) = 2 total

Mine did not have any washers.

Torrie, thanks for looking this stuff up for us members. It makes it much easier to order parts. I really hate working with some of the parts guys these days.

Thanks Torrie. I went to your web site and it cannot find the parts you have listed as 1, 2, and 3.

Also can you clarify the part numbers by front and rear and top and bottom for the shocks. The parts for the brake calipers and rear shock lower is clear, but not the other parts. My guess is the upper parts are the same for front and rear and the lower you have listed as 1 is for the front shocks.

So from that point I get into the service manual which outlines the rest. Outside of that all I can do is submit a request to Ford to get a clear answer on the remainder of the part numbers on the hardware which I have already done and wait for them to answer me. Once that information is obtained I will stick it out here in this thread for you guys.

Ok here is the I just got from Ford :


"The illustration was just corrected for both the front and rear
coil-over shocks to show the hardware. The upper bolts are
W710155S438, the washers are W710549S439 for both front and rear.
The lower bolt is W500769S439 for the front and W705516S439 for the
rear."
