2.75" ground clearance in track mode. Serious stuff. Stock up on splitters and diffusers.

Love the "stacked" torsion bars idea! Just lock out half of the bar--innovative way of increasing spring rate without complicated mechanics or hydraulics. I'm an engineer too (could you guess?), so I'm giving high praise to call this an "elegant solution." Kudos Ford!

I can't what to see what other engineering art lurks beneath the bodywork...

I think the car still uses hydraulics to raise and lower.

Don't drive on the road all the time with the car lowered & you'll be ok. My GT right now is at 2.75" clearance without the ability to rase it 50mm (2").

You are in serious need of a KWL suspension with HLS :willy:willy:willy

2.75" clearance everyday is workable. You have to drive smart though.

I'm guessing the cost of a splitter on the new car will be, err, somewhat more expensive than the rubbermaid product on our 05/06cars, so I'm really pleased that it has a frint lift

Maybe something's already in place, but it sounds like those F1 style chassis bump blocks could be a good idea when hitting those swales in the track.

I would bet they have jabroc in critical areas...

The racecars, yes. Street car, probably not.

I suppose the suspension has hard limits that'd prevent the chassis from bottoming when in race mode, well before the 2.75 clearance, but when race mode is used on the street that skid plate material might save an insurance claim (if it's stuck to the chassis and not an aero part).

The skid plate material used on the race NGTs is plywood!
