Hey Kelvin,

You gotta watch where that sun spot is in your photos.

"Gives me wood" has a whole different meaning than "Give me wood" :biggrin

4000 miles and no issues except some noise from the belt when cold. Once the car warms up, the chirping noise goes away. As Shadowman had stated earlier, a different belt design will probably fix this. Hope the next Gen Whipple will employ a better belt or use one that doesn't need any butchering.

The belts are an issue because no one makes a 10 rib in a different length that stock, so Whipple cuts down a 12 rib. I doubt that this will change unless someone ponies up the dough for a run a special belts. Unlikely given the numbers needed and the limited lifespan of the belts.

Napa/goodyear/gates etc make a bunch of different sizes of 10 rib belts. Maybe they don't make the belt size whipple needs and that is why they cut them, but all belts are cut off a very large belt anyways that is usually about 3 feet wide or so. So cutting 2 ribs off should not be a problem as i have done it with a razor blade before.

Maybe a more adjustable idler would help, or smaller idler pulley.

Suppose it all depends on who's doing the telling and who's asking.
