Yeah, it's true. Somehow when we were in Florida for the St. Petersburg race my car went from the trailer into the garage at Heffner Performance.

When I got home the blower was like this:

The car was like this at Heffner's:

It made 837rwhp. The signal wasn't reading so I don't have a torque number. It's fast. Really, really fast. First gear is actually usable again because of the way the power comes on, which is really nice. I can now floor it in 1st and not worry about blasting off the tires at 3k. Second gear is what I like to call the "holy $*#!" gear. It was really nice today with 70+ degree temps and actually hooked second gear pretty well. In the cold weather, forget it. 3rd and 4th can be matted to the floor regardless and they rocket you ahead.

The car sounds awesome with the stock exhaust back on it. Very sleeper-ish. Not that you'd expect any GT to be slow, but you wouldn't expect it to be that fast at that db level either. The turbo system makes an addicting whistle as well as you raise the revs in normal driving.

As you can see, it looks really good too :wink

Well, that's it. Heffner has transformed another GT. I was number 20. Thanks to Jason and his crew for turning out my car in a ridiculously short period of time. They started on Thursday. I was home Tuesday with a killer twin turbo GT. Impressive to say the least.

I can't wait to a) turn it down a few twists and take it to the road course and b) fill it up with C16 and turn it up a twist. Knowing that Heff's dyno reads a little low, I don't doubt it will do 850+ on pump on most dynos and will probably exceed 1000rwhp on C16.

What can I say? :huge:

I keep hearing how usable the power is with the Heffner setup.

Very nice Dave! :thumbsup

CA has the toughest smog regulations in the country, so I can't legally put a HTT on my GT, nor pass a smog inspection. The good news is that Whipple did get CARB approval and is legal in CA, so that is what I am running, but only a measly 730HP on 91 octane.

Absolutely beautiful! Heffner's work is stunning! Love the headers, too. Please add more driving impressions after you've had more seat time with the beast.

man... what can I say its awsome, someday a twin will be in my future as well, do tell us how it feel and post the dyno sheet if you can im interested to find out how the power comes on, im sure you can probobly get even more power on pump gas with a different tune, the twin turbos here in texas are making 915 rwhp on pump gas ofcourse we have 93 octane available here. Im excited for you. very nice set up, congrats.:thumbsup

happy to help with a few pictures, Dave.

I can safely say that your car is the hardest chest flattening experience I've seen yet... still waiting for a proper Veyron experience.... but in due time.

In the mean time.... Looking forward to the "next" time where do something proper ;)

Dave, that is just spectacular! Having just ordered the Heffner exhaust, I was curious why you went with stock exhaust? Stealth, or another reason?

Thanks,
Rick

WOW, DAVE Now I know I won't follow you up the next mountain. I'm too old for that kind of power. Enjoy it, but just wait for good weather. Tomy
