Local car forum put on a 1/4 mile drag srtip event last night. They had a street tire class, drag radial class and a unlimited class.

I did a few passes on the stock Goodyears to burn some rubber off so I can get a new set of tires. Ran a few decent times then put the R6's on and did a little better. Decided to run the street tires for the event.

Best time was 11.08 at 131mph on the Goodyears. I only ran once on the R6's and spun a little and did a 11.2.

I won the street tire class and would have won the drag radial class with the 11.08 as well. They gave out pretty big trophies for first thru 3rd. Here's mine.

Thanks - good to know. That's exactly what I have planned for next weekend! I was hoping you would say that... link the upgrades I'm having installed.

Great job on the runs & the trophy! :thumbsup

I would bet anywhere from 600-630 for your setup. You'll enjoy it over stock.

Congratulations. That's quite a trophy and the time you turned is impressive.

I've never had a chance to run the quarter mile but I'd like to.

Wow! Very nice times. 11.08@131 is moving for a very close to stock car.

we rigged up some flashes for picture taking (alot of people said it looked like Back to the Future when the car was disappearing). The lights would flash quickly like a strobe light when he was taking the pics)

2 Questions:
Was there anything left to the Goodyears when you were done?
And ...
Did you win the chick in the Lambo in addition to the trophy?:lol

Seriously about the tires. Could they hook up at all, or did they just turn into grease when you launched?

I have very little left on the Goodyears and this is why I used them that night. Want to order a set of Pilot Cups for the rear and PS2's for the front.

God I wish I won the chick in the Lambo.....very pretty.

I was VERY suprised that they hooked up pretty well but I DID heat them up a BUNCH. A couple of the runs I did not heat them up good enough and they spun pretty good. After the runs where I heated them up real well they were very sticky afterwards until they cooled down and became very slick and hard until the next burnout.

Great pictures, keep them coming. It may be the color White, that lambo would look good in white too. Tomy PS The girl looks fantastic in Black though.
