There was a white FR500S at MMR parked over by the big rigs. Anyone know who raced that car?

I raced one of the Miller school cars and was very surprised how well it did, so I´m considering getting a Mustang factory racecar and would like to hear input from someone who has one.

Also hear about someone from the Forum who bought 3 FR500S (Gino?) .... maybe he will chime in or send me a PM

Thanks
Anders

I believe Anya has one of those.

Yup. 'White one. And a darned NASTY looking/sounding/performing ride 'tis, too!

Anders

I have a Boss 302S , I can answer any of your questions .

Tim

That was Gino’s .

Gino has had the car for a while and has been doing various Track Days at Monticello, Watkins Glen, and NJ Motorsports to name a few. He has improved his driving skills quite a lot.

Gino actually bought that car from Miller MotorSports. He has been tweaking it and had four corner balancving done before this trip. He also had the track master teacher take him out and he learned quite a bit of new technique.

Frank, you have given all my secrets away.......:lol. I can tell you after taking 5 laps with Bill Rinehart from Miller........the car was on fire....I followed his line and I felt like a professional race driver.........sorry for the couple of GT's that could of been a little upset having a mustang on their tail....that car could outhandle just about anything there........Frank, I enjoyed the little time we spent together..........Hopefully we can do this again soon....

Gino

Great Gino, It's good to see you're in the middle of that BUCKET LIST. I wish I had started my bucket list a little sooner. You GO GINO just don't try to keep up with Dave! PS Geno your're turning on Frank big time.

Anders Have a FR500C and a Laguna Seca both extraordinary? cars. 500Cs show up on the internet occasionallyas well as the newer 302S and R. We had 2 Miller Mustangs last week and they were a blast!

Jim

Thanks for all the replies. This is truly a great Forum!

I definately will buy a track Mustang, so now just waiting for the right car to be available. The Boss 302S seems to be the best choice both in terms of performance and cost. I would however prefer not to have to tell my wife I spent 85K + shipping + 37% in import VAT for a car that can not be used for transportation :biggrin :biggrin so a nice FR500S would be the ideal candidate for me.

If you know or hear about a nice FR500S for sale I would appreciate to hear about it

Thank you & :cheers

If you can stand the price......the FR500C is the car to have...........monster motor, and seam welded body make for a better race car.....

Gino, I apologize for giving out your secrets. I really thought you would not make it home alive with Linda and no makeup/clothes in the GT.

Frank,

I forgive you........You can imagine Linda with a carryon at her feet.........all the way home........Now for the big challenge, getting my Mustang back, as my friend Mike hurt his arm on thursday, and we had to fly him home for an emergency operation.....(he ripped something above his muscle) he is doing fine, but the stacker is at Miller parked.........hmmmmmmmm road trip? :lol

P.S. After 31 hours straight home from Nebraska, she said I sounded like a recording.."almost home....almost there.....a few more hours" :lol

Gino

Gino, Linda is more than just a trooper, Sue would have killed me at the first stop for fuel and we would have detoured around every airport. On one of our trips pilling a trailer I used, "we're almost there honey, just a little bit further", after 9 hrs. she was livid. I don't make pee stops so she wouldn't drink even a coke. There's a purchase for Linda somewhere in this story. Paybacks are HELL.

Paybacks are HELL.

Uh huh. And, depending on the infraction, 'darned EEEEEXPENSIVE...

Gino
I had the stacker parked next to you. If you need a driver to get it home I can fly from here and get it to you in NYC. Say the word & I am on my way. :thumbsup

:cheers

Well, it has been an interesting week. The Mustang track experience at MMP was so great that I just had to have a Mustang race car. Thank you so much Gino for throwing even more fuel on the fire .... :biggrin:lol

Initially I wanted a FR500S ...... one bad ass looking track machine, but couldn´t really find one I liked. Then someone ... thanks Tim :lol:biggrin .... suggested the FR500C and even though I knew it would be way more than I would ever be able to master, ..... well you know how it goes ..... :biggrin

So, now I just made a deal on a very very nice FR500C Grand Am Mustang ...... oh boy, this Rally has been the most expensive so far :biggrin:biggrin

Will post more info and pictures when the last part of the deal has been finalized.
