What color do you think looks the best?

I know this is very subjective and everyone will say they like the color of their current GT best. However, I'm trying to decide what color to get and I've only seen red and black in person. Can anyone comment on the yellows and whites, are they striking in person. Anyone seen a bunch of GT's all lined up and thought what color looked more striking than the others? Anyone wish they had picked a different color after seeing other GT's in person? Thanks!

jdoc7,

You really need to see the Heritage in person.

It is the one that really stands out in a crowd.

I looked at many colors, but kept coming back to the Heritage, IT IS THE ONE for me.

No regrets in the color selection.

I must say that ALL of the colors and combinations available do look good, its really a matter of personal taste.

Good luck in your search.

I agree, the heritage does stand out and I love it too! However, as stupid as this may sound, the only other GT in this small area happens to be a heritage so I really don't want one, I need to be different. If he didn't have a heritage, that would be my first choice. Drats!

Take a blue one. (I say this not because I have one) it's the classic Ford combination, and apart its beautiful: already shooting up in price... Not many left, while there are surprisingly a lot of Heritages unsold..

I wanted white with blue stripes, as this was my choice, but in the end had to give in to my 12 year old son, and six year old daughter, and settle for the Heritage. I think you will find there is a lot less Heritage around now than people think. The only problem is they seem to command a higher price than the other colours.

They're all beautiful colors. Just comes down to personal taste. But ..........if you held a gun to my head, I'd have to confess that quicksilver blows everything else away! There, I said it.

Hands down Red/white is the best; most pictures in magazines are this color :)

Having said that, my 2nd GT will be a Heritage

The silver and Tnugsten with no stripes is the most striking. It looks like a factory racing "works" car or almost aeronautical.

SLF360 is right! LISTEN to the man!:biggrin

If you put a group of GT's side by side, the blue GT's look lower & wider than the other cars. They DO. It's an optical FACT. It has to do with the hue itself & the way the metalic pearl changes colors going around the car's curves & such.

The body lines of a blue car are JUST slightly "highlited" by the car's black trim like on no other color GT. The trim ( window trim, spoilers, hatch vents, etc.) doesn't "jump out at ya" as much as on the other cars ...it just sorta emphasizes & blends with the car's lines if you will. The trim just looks like a DARKER blue highlite.

No other color does that.

(Krymuny! I fell like I ought a say ,"Faaaabulous", and start walking funny...:ack )

Yes, I have a blue also. It is interesting that the Heritage color was a high cost option that was supposed to be limited in production but in fact was the 3rd most popular color in 2006.

Total production by color.

156 Silver
172 Yellow
343 Heritage
456 Blue
530 Black
541 Tungsten
725 White
1114 Red

I had my choice of red or tungsten. They were sitting side by side and both cars had all 4 options. I bought the tungsten which kind of surprised me because I am normally not a fan of silver. All of my sports cars in the past have been yellow, red or black. To me the tungsten just seemed to fit the car better.

WOW what a loaded question for this group. Not to flame or get shot down I will provide my own opinion. First colour is a Personal choice, followed by availablity especially now as production is over and no chance of ordering preferred colour, followed by if one is watching for production numbers and wants a larger or lower produced colour combo / style .
Now in my case I have a heritage colour old new 69 reproduction GT40, second I already have 2 cars that are blue with white stripe ( SPF Cobra and Mini Coopr S JCW rag top) So to get a 3rd car with blue white stripe I felt was overkill. So I was left with the reverse of White with blue stripe which is a retro colour scheme on many Shelbys. Now we all know that Shelby had some involvement with the car so I wanted to at lease keep some "heritage/ retro" for my Choice. This is my reasoning and very happy with it. My preference would have been Blue with white stripe if I had no other cars with the same combo. All the colours look good. Again personal choice and reasons. You are the one that has to live with it, so be HAPPY.

Red/White stripes hands down! I was convinced I wanted a heritage but the more and more I looked at it the less I liked it. I bought a white with blue stripes first but the red and white is the best in my opinion.

Heritage is my favorite, but among the normal colors it ranks like this:

1) Black w/no stripes and BBS. Far and away the best looking of all the Single color GT's
2) Yellow w/no options. Sounds like blah, but it's very impressive in person and doesn't even look like a FGT.
3) Red no stripes + BBS. The only way I like red. Quite beautiful if you ever spot a red car w/no stripes.
4) Quicksilver w/BBS and both stripes. Both stripes required on this color.

Just IMHO of course. I also have a "Bottom 4" list but I won't share that one...:ack
